Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using hiremuralartist.com (the "Site"), operated by Hire a Mural Artist ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Description of Service
Hire a Mural Artist is a directory that helps users discover mural artists across the United States. We aggregate publicly available business information and accept self-submitted listings from artists. We do not employ or endorse any listed artist, and we are not a party to any transaction between users and artists.
User Conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Submit spam, promotional content unrelated to mural artistry, or offensive material.
- Attempt to claim a listing you do not own or represent.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt.
- Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users' experience.
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
Listing Submissions
By submitting a listing, you represent that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to submit it. All submissions are subject to review and approval. We reserve the right to reject, modify, or remove any listing at our sole discretion.
Submitted listings are initially inactive and will be reviewed within 2-3 business days. We do not guarantee that every submission will be published.
User Submissions & Content License
When you submit a photo or other content to the Site (for example, a mural photo, a "better photo," a visitor photo, or a listing image), you represent and warrant that you took the photograph yourself or otherwise have all rights necessary to submit it, and that your submission does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
You retain ownership of your submission. By submitting it, you grant Hire a Mural Artist a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, resize, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Site. You may ask us to remove your submission at any time.

Listing Claims
If you are the owner of a business listed on the Site, you may claim your listing by verifying your email address or, where available, the phone number on your listing (see SMS Terms below). Claiming a listing allows you to update your business information. We reserve the right to deny claims that cannot be adequately verified.
SMS Terms — Listing Verification
Program name: Hire a Mural Artist Listing Verification. We send one-time passcodes (OTP) by SMS so business owners can verify they control the phone number on their listing and claim or manage it. These are transactional, one-time verification messages — not marketing.
- How to opt in: You request a code on the Site by opening your business listing, selecting "Text me a verification code," and confirming the phone number shown on your listing. A code is sent only when you request it.
- Message frequency: Message frequency depends on your usage — you receive a message only when you request a verification code (typically one message per request).
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
- Help: For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us.
- Opt out: To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further texts. You may not be able to complete SMS listing verification after opting out.

Paid Services
We offer optional paid subscription services to enhance artist listings:
- Premium Listing: Includes an SEO-boosted link to your website, a keyword-rich link in the listing description, and a verified badge. Billed monthly.
- Featured Listing: Places your listing in a prominent "Featured Artists" section at the top of your city page with a "Featured" badge. Limited to 3 spots per city. Billed monthly.
These services are entirely optional. Free listings remain available with full core functionality including directory placement, phone and website links, photo gallery, and the ability to edit your listing.
Billing and Cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your listing's edit menu. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which paid features will be deactivated.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us and we will review your case.
Featured Listing Availability
Featured listing spots are limited to 3 per city and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not guarantee availability of featured spots. If all spots in your city are taken, you may check back later or be notified when a spot becomes available. We reserve the right to adjust the number of featured spots per city at any time.
Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change the pricing of our paid services with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price changes take effect. Price changes will not apply to the current billing period.
Promotional Emails
By submitting or claiming a listing, you may receive promotional emails about our paid services and platform updates. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Transactional emails (such as verification codes and submission confirmations) are not affected by unsubscribe preferences.
Intellectual Property
The Site's design, layout, text, graphics, logos, and code are owned by Hire a Mural Artist and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
Artist photos and business information displayed on the Site may be sourced from third-party services (such as Google Places) or submitted directly by artists. Copyright for such content remains with the original owners.
Third-Party Content and Links
The Site may display information from third-party sources and contain links to external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hire a Mural Artist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to damages arising from any transaction or relationship between you and any listed artist.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hire a Mural Artist and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Content Removal
If you believe that content on the Site infringes your intellectual property rights or contains inaccurate information about your business, please contact us and we will review and address the issue promptly.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
