Parkhurst Artworks Murals Mural in San Clemente, CA

The Story

About This Mural

Looking upward on this ceiling mural, viewers encounter a photorealistic rendering of a dramatic cloudy sky that stretches across the entire surface. An orange and black aircraft cuts through the center of the composition, flying among soft white recessed lights and ventilation fixtures that blend seamlessly into the painted clouds. The artist has created a trompe-l'oeil effect that makes the interior ceiling dissolve into an expansive atmosphere, transforming an ordinary overhead space into a window to the sky and evoking a sense of flight and movement within the indoor environment.
