The Story
About This Mural
A graceful great blue heron stands in shallow water against a softly rendered green backdrop, rendered with careful attention to the bird's distinctive features including its slate-blue plumage, long slender neck, and orange-yellow bill. The artist employs realistic painting techniques with subtle color gradations to capture the heron's elegant posture and the misty quality of its wetland habitat. This naturalistic wildlife portrait brings the peaceful presence of Florida's native waterbirds to a prominent roadside location in the Fort Myers area.
