The Story
About This Mural
A series of portrait faces rendered in photorealistic style dominates this large-scale mural along North Tryon Street, with each figure gazing outward in contemplative expressions. The composition uses a vibrant palette of turquoise, golden yellow, and soft peachy tones that frame the subjects against sweeping black brushstrokes and negative space. The mural celebrates the diverse women of Charlotte through careful attention to facial features and emotion, positioning their likenesses as central figures worthy of public recognition in the urban landscape.
